Lip Filler Aftercare: Navigating Lumps and Bumps

So, you’re thinking about diving into the world of lip fillers, but you’re hesitant to take the leap and book that appointment? Let’s chat about those post-filler concerns because at B’s Aesthetics, our patients are our priority.

Although an exciting journey, it’s not uncommon to experience concerns about lumps and bumps in the lips following the lip filler procedure. Let us assure you that, in most cases, this is entirely normal.

Our expert hands carefully inject the dermal filler into your lips to work their magic in specific areas. Sometimes, those tiny lumps of filler can show up due to its natural movement. But, as time goes on, the filler settles and those little bumps usually smooth out on their own. Want a little extra help? We recommend some gentle massage techniques to even things out and make those imperfections vanish.

Now, if you’re ever feeling unsure about your lip fillers post-treatment, don’t hesitate to get in contact with us. At B’s Aesthetics, your satisfaction is our utmost priority and our skilled team can guide you through the healing process. But remember, patience is your best friend here and the final results are often way better than you first imagined.

Here are our top tips to reduce any swelling you might experience:

  1. Stay well-hydrated to keep things flowing smoothly in your body. Hydration helps your body mobilise fluids, preventing them from pooling in specific areas (aka swelling). So, drink up!
  1. Take it easy on the intense workouts and activities that get your heart pumping. Rest also means no passionate kissing for the first 48 hours!
  1. Put that straw down for the next two days. Sipping through a straw can add extra pressure to your lips, making any swelling worse.
